Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the RezCasa platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. RezCasa reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

RezCasa is a marketplace connecting clients seeking catering and private event services ("Clients") with chef-vetted restaurants and venues ("Partners"). RezCasa facilitates discovery, bidding, communication, payment processing, and event coordination but is not itself a caterer or venue operator.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. RezCasa may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Booking & Payments

All payments are processed through Stripe and held in escrow until the event is confirmed complete. A 5% platform fee applies to each transaction. Deposits (50%) are collected at booking; the remaining balance is charged on event day. See our cancellation policy for refund details.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Clients may cancel a confirmed booking at any time. Refunds are calculated based on the time remaining until the event:

• More than 72 hours before the event: 100% refund
• 24–72 hours before the event: 75% refund
• Less than 24 hours before the event: 50% refund

Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

6. Partner Obligations

Partners agree to maintain valid health certifications, accurate menu information, and timely communication with Clients. RezCasa reserves the right to remove Partners who fail to meet quality standards or receive consistently negative reviews.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the RezCasa platform — including logos, designs, text, and software — is the property of RezCasa or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any platform content without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

RezCasa acts as a marketplace facilitator. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Partners. In no event shall RezCasa's total liability exceed the platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between Clients and Partners should first be reported through the platform's dispute resolution system. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in New York County, NY, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
