Getting Started
What's the difference between catering and private events on RezCasa?
Catering is food delivered to your location — team lunches, working meals, conference spreads, office celebrations. Private events are full experiences at a restaurant or venue — seated dinners, cocktail receptions, holiday parties, milestone celebrations. Some partners do both. When you post a request, you choose which type you need and the right partners will respond with menus.
How does booking catering or a private event through RezCasa work from start to finish?
Three steps. First, describe what you need: date, headcount, vibe, and budget range. It takes about 30 seconds and no account is needed to start. Second, chef-vetted kitchens and venues respond with real menus and transparent per-head pricing; the first menu typically arrives in under 2 hours. Third, compare menus side by side and book with escrow-protected payment. There is no commitment until you book, and the cancellation policy is shown upfront, always.
How quickly will I get menus?
On weekday requests, the average first menu arrives in under 2 hours. Most requests receive 2–4 menus within 24 hours. For private events, some venues may take slightly longer as they check availability and build custom packages. For anything under 48 hours away, call us directly — we can fast-track a match.
What if I don't know exactly what I want yet?
That's completely normal — especially for private events. Our request form accepts ranges ('40–60 people,' '$50–$80 per head') and open-ended preferences ('something impressive but not stuffy,' 'we want a private room with a bar'). Partners will tailor their menus based on whatever you give them. You don't need a finalized plan to start.
Does RezCasa handle recurring orders, like a weekly team lunch for my NYC office?
Yes. Post a request as often as you like; posting is always free, with no credit card required. RezCasa remembers every dietary profile on your team, from celiac and dairy-free to seed-oil-free, vegan, and nut allergies, and routes each meal to the partner who does that diet well, so you never re-explain the same allergy. For ongoing programs, a spend dashboard, multi-location support, and PO invoicing keep billing simple. Choose pre-built packages with fixed pricing for speed, or post a custom request each time.
Pricing & Booking
Is it really free to post a request?
Yes — completely free, no credit card required. You can post requests, receive menus, and compare options without paying anything. You only pay when you choose a menu and book. Our fee is built into the menu price so there are never surprise charges.
How much does corporate catering cost per person in NYC?
On RezCasa, you set the budget and chef-vetted kitchens respond with transparent per-head pricing, so the cost is anchored to what you decide to spend. For example, a request might look like a 50-guest Mediterranean lunch at $40 per head, or a 75-guest office lunch at $42 per head. Posting a request is free, no credit card required, and the average first menu arrives in under 2 hours.
What should I budget for a private dinner or private dining event in New York or Westchester?
You tell RezCasa your budget range when you post, and restaurants respond with custom menus and transparent per-head pricing to match it. As one example, an anniversary dinner for 24 guests in the West Village might be posted at $150 per head. Private events run from 10 guests and up, in your space or theirs, and you can compare menus and pricing side by side with no commitment until you book.
Should I pick a pre-built catering package or post a custom request on RezCasa, and how does the pricing differ?
RezCasa offers both. Pre-built packages are ready-made menus from vetted kitchens with fixed pricing, so you get an instant price with no back-and-forth. Custom requests work the other way: you post what you need with your budget range, free, and real kitchens compete with tailored proposals, typically three or more within 24 hours, each with transparent per-head pricing. Custom bookings are escrow-protected, and there is no commitment until you book.
When do I actually pay for a catering order on RezCasa, and how does the escrow protection work?
You book with escrow-protected payment, so your money does not go straight to the restaurant. RezCasa holds it until your event goes exactly as planned; for catering, that means until you confirm the food arrived as promised. If anything is off, RezCasa is on the phone within 24 hours. Posting a request costs nothing and requires no credit card, and there is no commitment until you choose a menu and book.
Can I cancel a RezCasa catering or private event booking, and what is the cancellation policy?
Before you book, you can walk away at any point. Posting a request is free, no credit card is required, and there is no commitment until you book. The cancellation policy for your booking is shown upfront, before you commit, so you know the exact terms before any money changes hands. After booking, your payment stays escrow-protected until your event goes as planned, and if anything is off, RezCasa is on the phone within 24 hours.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Your payment is held in escrow — the partner doesn't get paid until you confirm delivery or event completion. If there's a significant issue — no-show, wrong order, quality problem, or venue issue — our team steps in immediately. We handle the dispute so you don't have to chase a refund.
Dietary Needs
Can you handle dietary restrictions?
Every partner in our network tags their offerings for common dietary needs: vegan, vegetarian, halal, kosher, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and more. When you post your request, specify requirements and only partners that can accommodate them will respond.
I'm ordering office catering in NYC and someone on my team has a severe nut allergy. Can RezCasa handle that?
Yes. RezCasa treats a nut allergy as routing information, not a footnote. Post your request with the allergy noted, for example "50 guests, Mediterranean, two vegans, one nut allergy," and it goes to chef-vetted partners who handle that need well, with allergen-labeled menus. Every kitchen is personally tasted and vetted by Chef Reza Parhizkaran, a three-time MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recipient. Payment is escrow-protected until your event goes as planned, and if anything is off, RezCasa is on the phone within 24 hours.
Where can I find gluten-free corporate catering in Westchester that's safe for someone with celiac disease?
Celiac is one of the dietary profiles RezCasa remembers and routes on, so your request goes to partners who genuinely do gluten-free well, not whoever can add a salad. Menus are allergen-labeled, so nobody with celiac is left guessing at unmarked containers. Every kitchen is visited and tasted by Chef Reza Parhizkaran before it joins, and dietary coverage is shown when you compare menus side by side. RezCasa serves all of Westchester, including White Plains, Scarsdale, Rye, Tarrytown, Bronxville, and Chappaqua.
Can I get halal or kosher catering through RezCasa in NYC or Westchester?
You can state halal or kosher requirements in your request, and RezCasa routes it to partners based on the dietary needs you describe. RezCasa does not certify kitchens as halal or kosher, though, so confirm certification directly with the responding restaurant before booking. Posting is free, with no commitment until you book, so you can compare menus and ask questions first. Every partner serving NYC and Westchester is personally visited and tasted by Chef Reza Parhizkaran.
Locations & Delivery
What areas do you currently serve?
We're live in two markets: New York City (all five boroughs) and Westchester County. Our partner network spans Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and towns across Westchester including White Plains, Scarsdale, Rye, and Tarrytown.
Can RezCasa caterers deliver to my office building, and how does delivery work?
RezCasa partners deliver across New York City's five boroughs and Westchester County. Post a request with the basics (date, headcount, location, budget range) and chef-vetted kitchens respond with real menus, per-head pricing, and availability, with the average first menu arriving in under 2 hours. Compare options side by side, including dietary coverage. Your payment stays in escrow until you confirm the food arrived as promised.
I'm planning an event in Scarsdale — do I have to call Manhattan caterers, or are there local options?
You no longer have to. Until RezCasa, premium catering in Westchester usually meant calling Manhattan. RezCasa serves White Plains, Scarsdale, Rye, Tarrytown, Bronxville, Chappaqua, and the rest of the county with local, chef-vetted kitchens. It is built by Chef Reza Parhizkaran, who runs a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand kitchen in White Plains, and every Westchester partner is visited and tasted before it can send you a menu. Posting a request is free, and menus arrive in hours, not days.
Where can I find private dining for 30 guests in Westchester for a birthday or anniversary dinner?
RezCasa serves all of Westchester County, including White Plains, Scarsdale, Rye, Tarrytown, Bronxville, and Chappaqua. Private events start at 10 guests and can happen in your space or a partner's, so a birthday dinner for 30 in Scarsdale or an anniversary dinner sits squarely in range. Founding partner Shiraz Kitchen in White Plains, a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand restaurant, handles 20 to 150 guests for catering and private events. Posting is free, and first menus typically arrive in under 2 hours.
Events & Occasions
What types of private events can I book?
Birthday dinners, anniversary celebrations, engagement parties, corporate holiday parties, product launches, retirement dinners, team celebrations, cocktail receptions, rehearsal dinners, milestone events — if it involves great food and a space to gather, we can match you. Our partners range from intimate 20-seat private dining rooms to full venues for 300+ guests.
Can RezCasa arrange a private client dinner for 40 in Manhattan?
Yes. Private events on RezCasa run from 10 guests and up, in your space or a partner's. Post the basics (date, headcount, neighborhood, budget range) and chef-vetted restaurants respond with custom menus and transparent per-head pricing; the first menu typically arrives in under 2 hours. Every kitchen is personally tasted by Chef Reza Parhizkaran, a three-time MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recipient. Featured partner Shiraz Kitchen hosts private dining for up to 40 guests. Payment is escrow-protected, and the cancellation policy is shown upfront before you book.
Can RezCasa cater a holiday party for 200 people?
Yes. RezCasa's request form covers everything from a Tuesday team lunch to a holiday party for 200 in Brooklyn or Tarrytown. Describe your date, headcount, vibe, and budget range, and chef-vetted restaurants and event spaces respond with full event packages and transparent pricing, with the average first menu arriving in under 2 hours. Dietary needs like celiac, dairy-free, and vegan are remembered and routed to the partner who does that diet well. Payment is held in escrow until your event goes as planned.
For a private dinner, do I need to book my own venue or can RezCasa provide the space?
Either works: RezCasa private events are your space or ours. Partners include restaurants with private dining rooms and event spaces, so you can book a seated dinner or cocktail reception at a venue, or bring the experience to your own location. Private events run from 10 guests and up. For example, featured partner Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar offers private dining for up to 40 guests. There is no commitment until you book, and the cancellation policy is shown upfront.
About RezCasa
What does 'chef-vetted' actually mean?
It means a culinary professional on our team — led by Chef Reza Parhizkaran, a three-time MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recipient — has personally visited the restaurant or venue, evaluated the kitchen, tasted the food, assessed the event space, and confirmed they can deliver under pressure. This isn't a self-serve signup. Every partner is invited and reviewed.
Who is Chef Reza Parhizkaran, the chef behind RezCasa?
Reza Parhizkaran is the chef-owner of Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar, with locations in White Plains and Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, and the founder of RezCasa. His restaurant earned a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand three years running (2020, 2021, 2022), a "Very Good" rating from The New York Times, and Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence in 2024. Before returning to the kitchen, he spent more than twenty years building systems in tech. Every kitchen on RezCasa is personally visited and tasted by him before it joins.
Is RezCasa legit? I'm looking at catering for my NYC office and the platform seems pretty new.
RezCasa is new, and it's built by someone with a public track record: Chef Reza Parhizkaran, whose Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar earned a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand three years running (2020, 2021, 2022), a "Very Good" from The New York Times, and Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence in 2024. And you don't have to take it on faith: posting a request is free with no credit card required, there's no commitment until you book, and your payment is held in escrow until the event goes as planned.
Why does RezCasa only have a few restaurant partners when other catering platforms list thousands?
That's deliberate. RezCasa adds kitchens one at a time, and Chef Reza Parhizkaran, a three-time MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recipient, visits and tastes every one before it can send you a menu. No exceptions, including his own restaurant. In NYC, RezCasa adds two to three new partners each month and onboards restaurants slowly to keep the quality bar high. A shorter list means every option you see has actually been tasted and approved by a chef, not sorted by an algorithm.
Are the caterers on RezCasa real restaurants, or ghost kitchens and delivery-only operations?
Every partner on RezCasa is a real restaurant, one that runs a dining room you could walk into tonight, with a reputation on the line every day. Before a kitchen joins, founder Chef Reza Parhizkaran visits it in person, tastes the food, and confirms its capacity. The featured partner is his own Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar in White Plains and Manhattan, held to the same standard as everyone else.
For Restaurants
How does the Partner Plan work for restaurants?
Restaurant partners choose between two plans: Pro ($149/mo) or Elite ($249/mo). When you win a booking, a 5% transaction fee is deducted from your payout. No upfront costs, no per-lead charges. Onboarding is three steps: Apply (our culinary team reviews your kitchen in person), Respond (start sending menus for real corporate requests), Cook (deliver great food and get paid via escrow). You can cancel anytime.
